This Maryland woman,
Mary Gates, is charged with three counts of solicitation of first-degree murder. The accusation is that she offered an undercover trooper $6,000 to kill her husband and then gave him the husband’s photograph and work schedule.
If Geeklawyer were the husband he’d give the hitman a big gun, paint a huge bulls-eye on his forehead, then stand very still indeed and wait for merciful release.

Wow, inflation’s even got into the murder business. I can remember when you could go out get somebody murdered, get pissed, have a fish supper on the way home and still have change from £300.

haven’t you ever seen yourself or one of your friends totally let themselves go because argueing over how tight their pants were or how they “never were that for me” was too much.
One friend of mine gained 40 pounds thinking his girlfrind would leave him– she hated him at 5 lbs over weight. But she liked complaining and the security “he coudn’t get anyone else” better.

I used to have a very overweight girlfriend who was always trying to feed me too much and exercise too little. I’m sure there was a subconscious desire to make me like her. ick. Nice girl, very intelligent, good career, kind, generous. I dumped her.
