wrinkly bashing a hate crime?!

Attacks on the elderly are to be a hate crime the CPS say. What the flying fuck is that about? Sure, the elderly can be vulnerable and it’s a bit gutless to target them: but an aggravating factor in sentencing? sure, but a hate crime? Come to that what on earth is a hate crime?

Oh yes - I remember: it’s government grandstanding entirely unrelated to its hunt for votes. Is attacking the young to be hate crime one wonders? Not until they get the vote.

In politicial terms, of course…(and I make only this point) … look what happened to poor old Ming…. disappeared… a goner. Have you seen him?

He is not at The Bollo…or, I assume, in your local mead drinking Druid camp …

I mean… have you seen him in Parliament? … on The BBC Parliament Channel? (I am one of the eight people in Britain who watches it at 5.00 am)… or even on the LIB-DEM website?

Disappeared.. I tell you… airbrushed out of LIB-Dem history…. cruel bunch… the LIB-Dems…

I retire now to other things… (Have I got News for you and QI)

It is a few years before I will need a bus pass…. but… all I can say is this… I hope I shall be in a position to say “Make my Day”… should some crazed young person, or other person unknown to the Policia Judiciaria want to “Have a go”

Sadly… by the time I get to that age.. I may not be able to say “I’ll be back”

On a serious note - Unfortunately… attacks on older people are becoming more common?

I am drinking a glass of Moscatel and raise it to the memory of Ming the Meandering.

When the time comes for the doctors to inject you with an excessive dose of morphine to relieve your boredom I feel sure you will give a good account of yourself. I shall raise a glass of Rioja (that I am normally indifferent to) over your grave.

Oh… and by the way… I do hope you will add the Inner Temple ‘Current Awareness’ blog to your blog roll.. I know you have been to it…. :-)

it is, as it happens… exceptionally useful… saves me a lot of time…

And… it is a Google Ad free zone… unlike this blawg :-)

That is all

GL… be sure… that when I die… (I have read ‘The God Delusion’)… I shall live forever… and, I hope, will be in better shape than that Tutankhamen chap… mind you… I won’t have some tedious English Milord disturbing my tomb…… so I will have a chance

A piu tarde

GL… I’ve just read one of your posts above… Moscatel?

Do you like aviation fuel?… anti-freeze?

This may well explain many things ….

Moscatel

The Spanish term for Muscat.

I admire a man who is able to drink desert wine at 8.00 in the evening…. beyond the call of duty. I am going to ring the news desk at The Sun immediately :-)

I am informed by Google that it tastes like marmalade… chacun a son gout !

I’m off to do some bull fighting now… Hola!

By the way… have you purchased your ‘iC*ntphone anyone’ unless you take out a 1000 pound eighteen month plan with O2?

Saw the BBC news tonight… hordes of hoodies buying the new apple iphone… yet heard and read about another article on BBC offering ?5 to charity to anyone who sends in an old - but re-usable / re-cyclable - mobile phone to Children in Need.

That should encourage mobile phone theft… n’est ce pas?

I may have to telephone Sir Ian Blair before he resigns and alert him…

I am an unapologetic Apple fanboy but even I refuse to buy the iPhone or ITouch because they are proprietary locked down crap. You can’t unlock them easily or add third party applications. Shit. A topic for another post however.

You don’t seem to have a pound symbol on your blog…. hence the question mark (Infra / above… for post Woolfians) It is far too early for me to be seriously over refreshed…

I rejigged the blog and it seems to have fucked up the pound symbol. I shall attempt to fix it.

Sorry about this… but my television is not showing anything of any value at all at the moment…. so… it was either your blog or a bit of research on the SRA / BSB websites.

I spend more time, perhaps than I should, hunting down serious information… but, tonight, it is Friday…. and legal education and the issues facing the profession can wait…. they don’t really need my attention anyway… but Monday is another day.

So… GL… how is the Moscatel?… Have you contracted diabetes yet from drinking it?

It is just like a dodgy chatroom in here… do you come here often?

Are you a barrister?

When I say it is like a chatroom… I mean, of course, that it is like a chatroom for lawyers who don’t mind if no-one else is involved.

I’ll get my coat… and I quite like the look of that fine coat over there as well

Fr so long as I am able to say it… “I’ll be back”

Now… it is time for a bit of Ian Hislop and Paul Merton…

I feel very welcome on this blog, and… it has to be said… I have just thought of Dame Vera Lynne :-)

How do you go from ‘hate crime’ to iPhones? Don’t you have to be on O2? Pah!

How? Easy. I am vacuous and superficial.
