GL... I advise caution on the wearing of bow-ties. After all, you do NOT want to look as if you should be presenting Bargain Hunt on TV....

[...] Victorian Maiden raises the spectre of duty: “The suggestion that Jem should have sneaked on the person who was driving the car is equally preposterous. Why should he name a criminal? Obviously it is not a question of the right to silence because Jem was not guilty. It is a question of the public-school code.” An interesting hypothetical question: What would you do, as a lawyer, law student or potential client of lawyers, if you witnessed a close friend, perhaps even a very senior member of the bar, or a senior partner in a major law firm, consuming drugs, carrying a 9mm pistol in a holster, driving while drunk, speeding, or using a Windsor knot for his tie?
Geeklawyer.... I'm sorry, but a Windsor knot is just too much... you may be minor royalty yourself, but, please, in the interests of sanity, please forbear, neigh, desist, from using a 'Windsor'.

You were a credit to all, at the UK Blawgers conference, in terms of your dress sense. put many of us to shamee :-)

I take it that you don't wear bow ties?

I did a windsor knot for my secondary school tie. I went to an all girl catholic school (make of it what you will) and in my final year of schooling there I was deemed senior enough to wear a tie. I, naturally, learnt the windsor knot so that I could have a perfectly symmetrical knot hanging round my neck.

Please, I implore you, return to a four-in-hand. All other knots are so non-u.
