Geeklawyer, a pioneer in the difficult art of combining “red in tooth and claw” free market principles with corporate social responsibility, congratulates John Redwood for his latest plans to revitalise capitalism in the UK.
For the past decade we have laboured under the woolly communist thinking of pinko lefty Tony Bliar cynically masquerading as neo-conservativism, for no other reason than populism. His campaigns of “public service” before private profit have wrecked the potential value that ‘public-private‘ initiatives could have brought to corporate profitability. And public benefit. Because, remember, when large corporations make tens of billions in profit, which are hustled off into offshore holding companies not paying tax, it isn’t just shareholders who benefit. No, it’s the poor and disadvantaged who benefit from the trickle-down effect of these profits. Everyone wins. Except under Neo-Labour communism. It’s political correctness gone mad.
John Redwood is now suggesting a return to the glory days of Victorian England. The time when we had an empire. He suggests we return to the days when pointless tosh like ‘data protection‘ laws and, so called ‘Health and Safety’ laws didn’t exist. All of these being red tape burdens on the heroic entrepreneurs who could otherwise return us to the power of empire.
Geeklawyer longs for a return to the days when Lancashire mill owners could operate factories employing legions of 10 year old girls whose job was darting in between the spinning unprotected sharpened blades of cotton machines. Or who could employ old age pensioners to use poisonous chemicals in industrial processes.
Dangerous? Yes, undoubtably. But have you considered that by culling the old, sick, weak and slow these factory owners were really improving the healthy stock of the population of the area? The surviving young girls are now quick enough to fend of the lecherous intent of even the mill owners themselves. And sick old people died quickly instead of clogging up hospitals who were then free to treat more productive economically efficient workers.
And by having their profits enhanced the companies are now able to set up charitable foundations to help the people they consider to be the worthy poor. No need to burden the tax payer with ruinous welfare schemes allowing the feckless to feed themselves instead of dying as they richly deserve; or have their illnesses treated in public hospitals at taxpayer expense.
And like most lawyers Geeklawyer works at least 90 hours a week. Manifestly it has not harmed him. Most of us in the UK cheer heartily our American cousin Dan Hull at WAC who would make 12 year old associates do an 90 hour minimum week.
It’s political correctness gone mad.
Let us all hope John Redwood is successful. He may be a bit of a leftie but hopefully this will shift politics away from the current extreme left toward a more middle ground.
Hear hear…
For too many years our industry has been crippled by Data Protection Laws. Honest businessmen who are the backbone of the nation have been unable to access vital information on their consumers. The trade in selling on these details to direct marketing firms has been held back by red tape. Just imagine the edge it would give to UK companies being able to access vast tracks of data on their clientele. Finally my business model for an online database of personal information could be realized.
It heroically stands up to the red threat of the commie Jews who run the EU. We wave the Union Jack in the face of your so called ‘Council of Human Rights’ and privacy treaties. These are nothing more than cunning tricks to hold back our industrial spirit whilst they award themselves subsidiaries.
Hopefully the Tories will now scrap their opposition to ID cards, as these could prove a lucrative method of providing the data needed in keeping our industries toned to the needs of the consumer.
Thanks Heavens, I thought I was the lone voice of reason, well me & John Redwood. Perhaps we should set up the ‘YES2ID’ campaign? Followed on by the ‘YES2DNA’ and ‘YES2BRAINCHIPS’ campaigns. q
I’m a fan of Herr Redwood from his good ol’ days back cutting the red tape of national anthem learning from his time as Sec of State for Wales. Oh how we laughed in Swansea. Obviously I agree with what is being said. Blair was a pussy. What we need is someone like JR to restore pride in UK plc. An empire would be quite nice too. All this protection at work really isn’t letting those running companies make nearly enough money, and indeed making people work longer hours should be compulsory. Crime? no-one will have to time to commit any. Genius. And as for the chance to see small children stuck up chimney’s again, who among us can honestly say they don’t want a return to those days.
Yes if you want to protect your data then obviously you have something to hide.
Surely employers should have a right to know what you are up to at the weekend (although personally I think two days off is a bit excessive).
Health and Safety is the Nanny state gone mad. It means that weak and stupid chav workers who would otherwise die out are left to reproduce, we as a nation are getting weaker because we have to provide safety equipment and then free handouts when they reproduce; this is what the Commie EU wants us to be weak. Why else would they bring in legislation limiting the working week?
In a de-regulated free-market the strong will be able to win out over the weak. Then our race will be strong and pure, and our island will be where it belongs at the top of the evolutionary food chain. This is nature’s way, the strong survive. Any attempt to interfere and impose structures and legislation is interfering with gods plan..
[…] 10:41 am Filed under: Current Affairs I am indebted to Geeklawyer for brining to my attention Herr Redwood’s heroic attempts to free British Industry from the fetters of unnecessary and costly Heal….  I’m pleased to see this morning that he is speaking out against the environmentalist agenda […]
Hear hear moon23.
I have had nothing but excellent service from the shops since I tattooed my personal barcode to my left cheek. Shopkeepers everywhere can totally personalise their salespitch.
Privacy was such a pesky bother really.
Well, 19-year-olds but 120 hours….hey, man, this is America.
