Today is the day when a couple of hundred years ago America spurned us and decided to go off and form their own new shiny nation.
If this sounds a bit familiar then it jolly well should. As a nation we said to ourselves, as Ruthie no doubt did; “it is such a relief to be cast out. Now we can go on to fresh adventures and build a glorious new empire that will last 1000 years. We’ll start with India. Damned America/Geeklawyer will be the one who’s sorry” 
If you are playing with fireworks while drunk just remember to read the instructions: “light the blue touch paper and retard”.
