One assumes this to be a deliberate design decision on their part, but frankly it is so fucked up and unusable I wonder if they asked Ruthie for advice! You ought to be able to see me and then decide to join, or at least see me from that url.

If you look at mine (whilst logged out) you will see my “public profile”. If you were Web 2.0 savvy, then you would have set your account to show such a limited public profile to non-Facebook members.
