“Taking Liberties”

You’ve had the laws now go and see the film.

Geeklawyer went to see it with Evil Dave at the Curzon. If like Geeklawyer you are a bit of a civil liberties loony this won’t tell you much that you didn’t already know. Geeklawyer spent most of the film pointing at people on the screen and saying “I know him” “I know him, he’s a twat” etc. etc.

Nonetheless it was an movie that reinforces ones sense of moral outrage at an out of control State and valuable as a motivational exercise. It is also an excellent film to take ones uninformed friends family and colleagues to if they can’t quite get a handle on the big picture.

[Evil failed to get into a fight with a chap in the row in-front who objected to Dave putting his feet on the seats. Evil Dave is an enormous lump of a chap and had no choice but to engage in this otherwise yobbish behaviour: though it did make him look like a stranded whale. Geeklawyer incited Dave to thump the objector but he failed to live up to his moniker - shame.]

I think I’ll avoid this on the grounds that I have too much moral outrage already and don’t need any encouragement

This is my outraged face:

Golly, that’s scary. You’ll get wrinkles grimacing like that - be like me & think happy thoughts. Sun, shiny things, laughing children - crap like that.
