Read (rather late) at Binary Law: The author of conflictoflaws.net and the now moribund LegalScribbles blog has de-cloaked off the starboard bow. He is Martin George an academic from Birmingham. Anonymity is a pet topic of Geeklawyer.
Martin says that anonymity served no real purpose for him because he was not controversial nor was he writing about his friends or personal life. (Though of course coming from Birmingham, the desire for anonymity would seem reasonable to most people 
)
Geeklawyer will, on those terms, be understood to be keen on retaining his anonymous status. He has employed his l33t geek and legal skills to good effect and has ensured that no trace of his real identity can be found anywhere; he is thus able to continue saying offensive defamatory and scurrilous things about his friends colleagues and punters. Oh and selected co-bloggers of course.

legalscribbles.com right now does a 302 redirect (temporary redirect) which doesn't transfer link love. If you can change it to a 301 (permanent redirect) then you'll get all of your old link love to the new location.

Students might be a problem, but we will just have to wait-and-see. I haven't advertised the blog at all in the Law School as yet, but I may try and entice my next batch of students (September) into the blogging world.
I think a day is rapidly coming when writing a blog is as normal and as cool as owning a volvo. Most of the sexual scandal people write about is made up anyway; very few peoples lives are that interesting.
I'm sure if you wrote about three in the bed romps it would encourage maximum attendance at your lectures...
I too have decided that anonymity serves no useful function and I now declare myself to be Admiral Sir Fellatio Hornblower RN (Retd), of Wisden House, Huish Episcopy, Somerset and these days I am lucky to get three attending a lecture on rum, sodomy and the lash, let alone three in a bed romps
