Random fire 2

James at Disillusioned Discordian moans about the government trying to rein in the Freedom of Information Act when they realise that it hurts them. Bloody right too James it’s a friggin’ liberty.

Shiny new chic blogger (sexist? What!?) Law & Bollocks on life outside the City as a trainee solicitor.

Geeklawyer is unbelievably embarrassed about this: but he has now got a Geeklawyer MySpace page. Ick ick ick. He feels ill but he is hoping to drive more traffic to the site.

Look, don’t bother taking the piss because he’s beaten you to it.

Geeklawyer is going for a shower now; he feels dirty.

And he has a Facebook page too so please befriend him.

Finally. Ruthie got into a magazine for some reason: don’t go on about it OK? She’ll just be insufferable, more so.

Astonished that you have not posted about the Law Gazette online review of LawBlog 2007…

Here is the link… Ruthie…. pictured…quite a feat to get into two editons of The Gazette in a month… a feat, normally reserved for those who have managed to do something truly dodgy..

http://www.lawgazette.co.uk/news/itnews/view=newsarticle.law?GAZETTENEWSID=338653

Like the pose… As far as I remember… there was a very distinguished man… (who gave me a bottle of Rioja.. which I have drunk) sitting nearby…. but ‘cropped’ out :-)

Have a good weekend… I am not writing about law this weekend… so normal service is being resumed on my blawg.

So true Charon…normally you have to clean out the client account and run off to Barabados with your mistress to get this much coverage in the Gazette. I’ve warned Rupert that if they publish any more pictures of me anytime soon people will think I’m screwing the editor. But then Rupert told that the editor has just been sacked. So all that effort was a waste of time then.

I have just realised that you did, in fact, (what an elipsis) post about Ruthie’s great Press tribute… I am sure it will only be a matter of time before OK magazine come knocking…

I feel confident.. when the parking attendants who clamped me for sitting on a double yellow line as I had a smoke outside the bar (practising for 1st july) , release me - that I will / may / probably will… look at your MySpace page….

It will be good to have somewhere else to go to when the bars close

No, I amended the article after your comment. Don’t bother with the MySpace page: it’s traffic bait. I value it so little I have given Ruthie full admin rights.

GL… there is a great pic of you on the new Ministry of Justice website… you want to claim moral rights over this one, mate… and, possibly, international syndication rights… and, if you were in France… claim breach of privacy.

I really am sorry… I really didn’t mean to send that pic to Charlie….

Facebook URL: http://www.facebook.com/p/Geek-Lawyer/720931860

Then, because that’s far too complicated, redirect a sub-domain to it; e.g. http://facebook.martingeorge.org

People will no doubt see that I am far more popular, and rightly so.

Ha! Now, you see? smarty pants. That URL doesn’t work! Rather it doesn’t work unless you have a Facebook account and that you are logged in. Joe Punter cannot browse into the Facebook network to see it.

One assumes this to be a deliberate design decision on their part, but frankly it is so fucked up and unusable I wonder if they asked Ruthie for advice! You ought to be able to see me and then decide to join, or at least see me from that url.

Why the hell don’t Web 2.0 people consult me first?

If you look at mine (whilst logged out) you will see my “public profile”. If you were Web 2.0 savvy, then you would have set your account to show such a limited public profile to non-Facebook members.

Smarty pants right back at ya!
