The drunken rambling in the pub. An embarrassing reminder to all.
Hear the drunken slurred voices of:
Geeklawyer, Ruthie, MichealE, Alex of Freeth Cartwright, Charon, Corporate Blawg (well, sort of), Rupert White of the Law Society Gazette and Liadnan.
Update:
Dan at WAC had this to say of the podcast:
“An associate lawyer has been playing this podcast lately. For a couple of days I wrongly assumed it was an audio of the Hells Angels 1968 Memorial Day picnic or the maybe the soundtrack from Barfly, the 1987 film on low-bottom Los Angeles drunks starring Mickey Rourke, Faye Dunaway and the elegant South African-born actress Alice Krige. Neither. It’s a post-LawBlog 2007 debauch in a London pub on May 18 starring GeekLawyer and co-counsel Ruthie and featuring the astonishingly slurred voices of otherwise reputable solicitors, barristers, journalists and academics who went to schools like Oxford and Cambridge. Anglophile WAC? is shocked and impressed.“
Geeklawyer will concede that the others are low-life drunks but believes it to be a rather harsh judgement on him and pleads in mitigation that he was led astray, as ever, by Ruthie, the Sinful One who was in turn egged on by the rabble. So can we entertain your London clients on your behalf Dan?

I looked at the [8:24m] and thought it meant 8 hours and 24 minutes, which would have been quite a bit of rambling.
Then again, they are all lawyers
Oh no Robert, you have it all wrong we only ramble on and on when we are being paid by punters: 8 1/2 hours at, say, £250/hour wouldn’t you?
On our own time however we are much more to the point.
(Cue hourly rate bragging: £250?! I wouldn’t get out of bed in the morning for £250 an hour, etc. etc.
)
If I was slurring, it was the coma I was trying not to lapse into after a day in a roomful of lawyers… Not even defendants have to do 9-5 with them…
Ah, this would be your time as a defendant after that late night incident on Clapham Common?
