breaking: Falconer fails to agree with judges

The BBC is reporting that Lord ‘fatty’ Falconer is refusing to meet the judiciaries worries over the constitutional impropriety of him being both their head and being responsible for prisons.

So, much the same as usual.

It’ll all be different when Ruthie becomes Lord Chancellor.

I fear that I am too radical ever to be appointed as Lord Chancellor, especially in the police state in which we now live. (See current erosion of the independence of the judiciary by the Ministry of Justice.) However the Central Committee could do a double bluff by appointing Ruthie: someone who gives every appearance of independence and a desire to make radical change, but then not giving her any real power to change anything.

And in other breaking news, the Times has decided that there is a clear reason for the problems with IP litigation in England, and the problem is… Geeklawyer. He’s just too darn expensive.

article here

Still annoyed I couldn’t make friday, but even more annoyed at Margaret ‘Homes for the British’ Hodge.
