Mickey Mouse patented

Via IPKat.

Geeklawyer is well known for his heretical (for an IP lawyer) views that patents are unjustified and mostly economically undesirable. With one exception: a method of cloning Mickey Mouse has been developed and patented thus fulfilling a long met need and want in the marketplace.

Geeklawyer is a tad concerned that it may, nonetheless, infringe the (in)famous Harvard Oncogene mouse patent.

Yeah, you should be able to manage it for one day a year, especially as I will be around to help you.

Goal..wide…open?

Cloning of Micky Mouse with, say Minnie would be unreal. These are animation characters.

How about Popeye and Olive Oyl?
