Why credit card got Maxx’ed out

Geeklawyer never shops at TK Maxx never having felt the need for a chav shell suit or cheap trainers. Nor does he have store cards - an expensive way of getting a bargain. But it struck him that a large number of people must have suffered unrecompensed losses since the breach dated right back to 2002.

What would have helped, both here and in TK’s head office in Massachusetts, would have been a disclosure law compelling the company to reveal the details as soon as it was known. This happens in California and the experience from a consumer perspective has been positive.

So it’s a crumpled pin-stripe suit and scuffed brogues then?

Well, yes. An uncannily good guess.
