Happy Birthday Ruthie

Today is Ruthie’s 38th birthday. Geeklawyer wishes her a joyous and happy day and hopes that readers will do likewise.

Geeklawyer has indulged her with a lavish, indeed ostentatious, bespoke card. A present from Geeklawyer will follow - a naval uniform and hat have been purchased - Chippendale dance moves are being practised right now ;)

Charon: thanks on Ruthie’s behalf. She is too busy plotting the downfall of murderers and drugs gangs to post on the blog at the moment but no doubt she will resume at some point soon.

Tis true…but I’m glad GL has finally recognised that at least one of us has to attend to paying clients and stopped nagging me if I’m a bit lax with my posts. Until someone wants to pay me for writing this blog, paying customers have to take priority.

I hope to resume posting again soon, and in particular nagging GL about the forthcoming blogging conference.

I’ve already nagged him to get back to writing more law on here. Whilst my love life is of course fascinating to me, I fear it may not be as scintillating to everyone else. I dont want the blog to turn into the OK! of the legal profession.

I did get a Birthday Card from Geeklawyer. With a view to saving the rainforests (I assume) he simply sent back the Christmas card I sent him with “Christmas” crossed out and “Birthday” inserted. Still, they say its the thought that counts.

I would like to do the same for GL when the time comes, but sadly the Christmas card he sent me was so ancient and flimsy it disintegrated completely upon contact with air.

By the way, for the avoidance of doubt, I am NOT 38, but SIGNIFICANTLY younger. In fact YEARS YOUNGER THAN GEEKLAWYER.

Dan of course has promised to buy me a Californian beachfront property and a new Harley Davidson for my birthday. Cheers Dan!

Ruthie

tried to call at 22.16 to sing you a rather surreal version of happy Birthday (cleared, of course, by the copyright holder Time-Warner)… but either my mobile or your mobile or I was not working.

I’ll contact you soon… but hope you had a good evening… For my part - amusing…. I have a chance (just a chance) to interview a most interesting politician…. for my podcasts…. he is thinking about it.

Charon…

(the spam protection is ridiculous…I had to pull out my calculator for the massive formula)

Anywho - Happy Birthday Ruthie!

May you have a truly splendiferious birthday celebration, and hopefully Geeklawyer can shell out more than 40p on you.

Mayhaps another visit to a lobster place? Any chances of turning GL into a Lobster Bib Man?

It’s called sarcasm.. I know it doesn’t translate very well over the printed word, but I had assumed that you knew me well enough to detect it.

I am expecting better though - damn it! Calculus…have us do calculus. It’s been nearly 20 years since I’ve touched my slide rule.

How do the rest us know Mary is Canadian without those pretty flag thingies that you used to have, or do you assume that we are all geeks on the quiet?
