Geeklawyer is back from holidays.
Returning from holidays is truly the most loathsome of experiences: turning the key in the lock only to discover a pile of letters & ominous brown envelopes.
The most annoying thing to happen to Geeklawyer was to have his phone cut off by T-Mobile. This was announced by a curt SMS ‘Due to high phone usage your SIM has been blocked please phone +441234 etc‘. Thanks a fricking bunch. You try finalising two patent drafts and manage a buyout from an Austrian ski resort where there is no wi-fi or Internet cafes, and email/web is done by a clunky mobile phone with speeds that resemble old school 34k modems. Eeesh. And to rub salt into the would this is at mobile data roaming rates.
In all Geeklawyer transferred ~70MB of data. Guess how much that came to?
£540.
£7.50 per fucking MB. If Ruthie had anally raped Geeklawyer with a strap-on (no Ruthie, Minor Junior & His Lordship may let you do this but me, no …) his eyes would have watered less. Yes of course he could have checked first, but it’s easy to be wise after the event. Oh yea T-Mobile plans to reduce consumer roaming data charges. Thanks bastards.
Thank heavens he can pass it off onto punters. Talking of which, Geeklawyer has finished off most of his work backlog while on hols. So he can now take it relatively easy until the next hols (when he’ll finish off the balance) and do a bit more posting. Some of it may even be legally related, it doesn’t really count as work.
mmm. seems youre going to have a lot of time to do posting.
Or keeping you ‘busy’
Welcome back geeklawyer. I died while you were away… but it was not successful.
Would you like to talk about the loss of your virginity in a new book by a friend of mine? See Podcast 4… if you have time.
Good to have you back… It seems, from recent activity, … we are all ‘angst’ driven…wondering why we are blogging
