Terrorist? why no - merely misunderstood protestor

Geeklawyer is a little dismayed by the over compliant SIAC ruling that Jordan really really would not torture a man they would ordinarily like to torture and murder if only the UK would surrender him to them.

Geeklawyer suspects that cleric Abu Qatada is every bit as bigoted and repellent as Tony Bliar and his cabinet: but he retreats to the proposition of old: “A civilisation is defined by its treatment of those it despises, as well as those it loves”.

News update: Mr Qatada died today in an unfortunate road accident as a result of him driving, whilst drunk, into a bale of hay at 8 miles an hour along the otherwise deserted desert road to ‘Blimeyareyousurewearentlostguv?’ (2 donkey carts a year). A government spokesman said “we are grief stricken by this tragedy: it was a very large solid bale of hay. We shall pass a law making sure all bales of hay near roads are of a less lethal nature. We extend our sympathies to your Dear Leader’s Human Rights Campaign.”

Ruthie did smile when she heard about the UK Jordan agreement that nothing bad would happen to him..

Yeah…right.

And how many voters believe in upholding human rights for terrorists (or indeed even strange looking bearded foreigners)

Tch Geeklawyer, that’s so end-of-last-millennium. All that enlightenment rubbish is for cry babies. These days we prefer to look further back to the great leaders of yore. To when men were men and a great leader defined himself by the size of the pile of skulls he could muster.
