Jade Goody would have remained in the dole queue, exposure to her racists ignorant views limited to her fellow jobseekers, if it wasn’t for unscrupulous executives of Channel 4 seeking to exploit her stupidity for massive profit. She is also to an extent, a victim, although one that I struggle to find much sympathy for.

Why thank you Charon, at least you recognise that at least *some* of us have to work for a living, and doubtless Geeklawyer will want his dinner paid for when we go out again next.

I have spent today reading a large not very exciting file, and writing about it. Tomorrow I will do the same again, except the file is bigger, marginally more exciting, but also more complicated.

GL.. I am slim… but, I fear… I do not meet your other criteria for what you euphemistically refer to as ‘an imminent vacancy’.

I suspect that Ruthie may well be out doing some serious law.

Anyway… mon brave…. to the slopes… to the slopes…. Trust the apres-ski keeps you occupied…. I am told they like a bit of ‘Positivism’ after skiing all day….and you may strike likely and find a “Scandinavian realist’ to have a Hart to Hart with…

My dear chap, to Ruthies chagrin (for which I shall pay a dear price later) I have found the key to the cellar. I am presently imbibing not a drop of Rioja, the drink of gentlemen, but the uncouth beverages of ne’er do wells: liqueurs and beer.

Amusingly, my hostelry keeper knocked on my door and enquired if I was well. “Herr GL, the maid said you refused breakfast. And you have not attended dinner tonight. Are you sick?” “No”, I replied. “On Mondays and Fridays I fast. I drink only Kaffe tea and alcohol.” He was puzzled and assumed this was English eccentricity. But was mollified when I said “but tomorrow morning bring me a horse for breakfast”.

In the meantime the ravages of massive alcohol, no food and several hours walking up a mountain may render these posts somewhat, er, odd. I apologise. And say only in mitigation that I am, for my faults, at least not Ruthie.

Who is bollocks, even while she is sober.

If anyone knows of a pretty, intelligent slim young female lawyer, ideally a barrister, who would like to write here would they please let me know: there is an imminent vacancy for someone *reliable*.
