Blogging from Bulgaria

Pah, Geeklawyer thought Ruthie was out of his hair for a week as she is currently soaking up the sun in the mountains on her snowboard. Ruthie thought she would try Bulgaria this year; a member of the EU since 1st January. So far she is impressed. Whilst her hotel looks like somewhere the Soviet army took dissidents to be tortured (her room is situated in “Block A”) the food is cheap, the people friendly, and crucially, lots of snow.

Ruthie is an expert skier, in fact so expert that there are few slopes sufficiently challenging. So she has diversified into boarding. One would think it couldn’t be so different. One could be so wrong.

Ruthie has spent the day grappling with the more practical aspects of Newtonian mechanics and falling repeatedly on her amply padded arse…

This brings back fond recollections of my Lithuanian holiday, which was also of the Soviet era. How are the facilities? Ski lifts hire shop kit etc?

And as for your amply padded arse: if you think I’m going to put up with “it’s not a huge fat arse, it’s snowboarding cocyx protection equipment”, as an excuse for not losing weight you are very much mistaken.

Re your email: Good luck with trying to find a Bulgarian law firm needing an English lawyer, yes Frisbys will be a bit peeved, still, too bad.

P.S. Never, ever, ever drink Bulgarian wine. By all means bring some back if you visit: its cheaper than windowcleaner.

Reminds me of the booze at chalet ski holidays in Val D’Isere. They did at least say it was crap just to get you drunk.
