Super asbo’s?

Geeklawyer sees nothing super in them at all. This crass ‘headline for a day‘ gimmick should be seen for what it is: an easy way of circumventing the cost and uncertainty of a criminal trial and, importantly from The Dear Leaders perspective, the inconveniently high standard of proof needed to punish someone.

It also illustrates rather neatly what Geeklawyer once said before. When you introduce egregious repulsive violations of civil liberties based upon ‘emergency’ situations the government, once it realises how much fun its new toys are, usually cannot resist the urge to migrate them to lower level offences.
