Professor Zit (yes, Geeklawyer is in sniggering schoolboy mode) is a renowned Harvard cyberlaw scholar currently a Professorial Fellow at Keeble Oxford. He recently gave the keynote speech at the Open Rights Groups “Release the Music’ event.

A fascinating talk well worth listening to, with some interesting insights and analogies.

I’ve mirrored the ogg file of the talk (check your media player handles ogg formats or get the mp3 version): this act of mirroring is OK because, amusingly, despite there being no copyright notices anywhere PZ says in the middle of the speech that he is not interested in enforcing copyright in any recording of his talk. A licence that neatly avoids the potentially comical spectacle of a reform minded IP scholar suing an IP barrister for copyright infringement.

(props to Becky Hogge for asking a good question)
