Britain’s shopkeepers were holding a crisis meeting last night having come to the conclusion that politicians lie. “We were promised top rate health care, an efficient and cost effective public transport system and victory in a war that would protect us from terrorism. Since none of this has come to pass we can only conclude that politicians lie.”
When asked about their response the shopkeepers said “We considered rioting but felt that this would achieve nothing. Instead we have decided to support a different group of politicians with a new logo who we are confident will tell us the truth.”
In Hungary citizens are rioting on the streets following the decision by a politician to tell the truth. Said one anonymous Hungarian, “We can’t have politicians going around telling the truth, we might have to make a decision about what to believe. Think how much confusion that will cause. He’ll have to go.”
