Ruthie got a new motorcycle!

Ruthie has been having a poor time romance-wise recently and is sublimating her urges with motorcycles and the purchase of a new one thereof. Ruthie wanted Geeklawyer to post pictures of it here. Glad to oblige:

Geeklawyer spent much time going “ooh aah”; pretty. Bit of a chics bike but nice; the blue will set off the pink leathers!

What it needs now is a name. Geeklawyer’s bike was christened by him: “the Terrible and Inexorable Wrath of God”
What should Ruthie call hers?

Unfortunately I’ve been having a few problems with the bike. The ignition is functioning intermittently and I’ve fallen off twice as I can’t get used to the weight distribution on the extended front forks.

So now I am sure that this bike is male: handsome but unreliable.

Hope you weren’t hurt (other than your pride). It’s usually the case that you get used to these things with time.

The ignition however is strictly a Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994 issue! Go and kick retailer ass.

My baby has now been in for its 600 mile service and I’m delighted to report that ignition problems have now been solved. I also confessed to falling off to the mechanic. Happily he informed me that this is the fault of the bike rather than the rider and that bikes with a long wheel base (i.e. extended front forks) have a tendancy to drop when going round corners (basic physics really). So to avoid any more accidents he has lifted my forks up to slightly decrease the wheelbase and give me more manouverability.

Ruthie is pleased to report: no injuries. But I’d rather not fall off again.
