The excellent Open Democracy website with its dazzlingly brilliant managing editor Becky Hogge (OK, confession time: she’s a friend and all too occasional drinking buddy but it’s still true) had the good sense to ask ‘rent a hyperbolic quote’ Geeklawyer for his views which he gives; read it here.
Hmm. So he’d need to publish in a non-EU and non-US jurisdiction? Sounds like a case for …Super Sealand!
In the meantime Ruthie is in the doghouse (yet again) for flirting with Charon on the forum. This site is the sacred house of Geeklawyer, and I apparently am yet again lowering the academic tone. And of course if there’s any flirting to be done on here it had better be with Geeklawyer….
However before you all rush off to read my comments they’re in the lawyers only section. So there. So if you want to read them you’ll have to sign up.
There may be a short break in my posts whilst I write out “I must not misbehave” 1000 times….
Superb soundbite there.
Looking forward to reading my copy of Murray’s book: looks good: it’s languishing in a parcel at my mother’s house for tedious reasons.
Mmm. Think I’d better buy this book. Plus excellent quote Geekboy.
Blush. Thanks Liadnan & Ruthie, but you’ll make me insufferably big-headed! (shut up in advance Ruthie)
BTW Liadnan, when you do read it I hope you will do a brief review perhaps on your blog, or even this one if you feel it better suited?
I have been meaning to do a few book reviews: I have a rather interesting defamation book I want to do. And of course the White Book, though I’m told the plot is a little thin.
Shall do once I manage to get myself down to Hants and pick it up. Murray is an interesting character.
It is an excellent quote - worthy of the title ‘Hyperbolator”
Seriously…. interesting stuff.
