23rd January- most depressing day of the year?

The people who collect statistics for these kind of things (who are they?) claim that 23rd January is the most depressing day of the year. Ruthie assumes this must be a combination of short days, bad weather and post Christmas credit card bills co-inciding. Ruthie would advance this as a reason for Christmas to be re-scheduled for mid-January. Since the 25th December was formerly a pagan festival, surely Christians need not be tied to the date.

Since Geeklawyer is in Bangkok, the weather and short days are unlikely to be having any effect.

Geeklawyer is not in Bangkok! He is in, …, let’s just say the South of England.

And if he ever acquires an interest in ladyboys then he will merely travel to one of the more colourful bars in town. He agrees that January is the gloomiest time of year though.

So coy… but I’m sure if anyone were minded to do so it would take about a whole 10 mins to locate you. But it never hurts to maintain an aura of mystery.

This is my birthday, a helpful friend texted me this about the 23rd Jan and took great delight in letting me know what an awful day I have been born on, I have to say I felt much worse on the 24th when I woke up!

Is it possible there is anything good about being born on this day or shall I blame my Mother.

I await your comments.
