Open Business models

Via Boing Boing: How do you make a viable business when you give your stuff away for free and don’t protect (or at least fully protect) proprietary interests with IP rights?

Many Open Source software companies struggle and those that don’t, RedHat, hardly achieve stellar performance. Open Business is gathering such open business models into a community to share resources ideas and support.
Geeklawyer very much likes the idea of open and collaborative commons based ideas but is sceptical about the feasability of making large profits. Which are the only ones worth having. Nonetheless, he cheers them on from the back of his Rolls Royce.
